All five plates are structurally sound with no chips, cracks through the body, or repairs, and the moulded relief is crisp and undamaged throughout with the printed bouquets bright and complete. However, the glaze carries overall fine crazing across the wells, and on several plates that crazing has taken up brown staining, most visibly as darkened lines and a tan patch toward one side of the well. There is also light tan discolouration at the edge of the well on some plates and scattered specks in the glaze. This is age-related staining in the glaze, not surface dirt, and it will not wash out.
