Lenox ivory bone china—light yet durable and slightly translucent—hand-decorated with 24-karat gold at the rim (not microwave-safe).
→ Mark:
Underside printed in gold with the Lenox laurel-wreath “L” and “Made in U.S.A.” Several retain the original silver foil sticker reading “Hand Decorated with 24-K Gold.” Backstamp dates align with mid-century U.S. production.

History & Provenance
Founded in 1889 in Trenton, New Jersey, Lenox became America’s best-known maker of fine bone china and formal White House services. Introduced in the mid-20th century, Laurent distilled Lenox’s aesthetic to its essentials—creamy ivory, quiet texture, and real gold—suited to the streamlined elegance of post-war American entertaining.
Condition
Excellent vintage condition. Bright glaze, crisp embossing, and continuous gold with only minimal, age-appropriate surface wear; no chips, cracks, or repairs observed. Foil stickers present on some pieces.
