Refund policy
Humans discovering that shipping companies can transform a museum-quality antique into modern art through blunt-force trauma has really kept the legal profession employed for centuries. Anyway, here’s a clean, premium-sounding policy for Viridian Eclection that protects you without sounding like a hostile warehouse goblin.
Return & Refund Policy
At Viridian Eclection, we specialize in antique, vintage, and one-of-a-kind pieces with age, character, patina, and history. Due to the unique nature of these items, all sales are final.
All Sales Final
→ We do not accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations.
→ All items are sold as-is and as-found.
→ By completing a purchase, the buyer acknowledges that vintage and antique items may show signs of age, wear, imperfections, repairs, variations in finish, and historical use consistent with their age and character.
We make every effort to accurately photograph, describe, and represent each item as clearly as possible.
Shipping & Transit Liability
Once an item has been transferred to a third-party carrier, freight provider, white-glove delivery service, or shipping company, Viridian Eclection is not liable for:
→ Damage incurred during transit
→ Delays caused by carriers or freight services
→ Lost shipments
→ Mishandling by shipping providers
→ Storage fees, delivery refusal fees, or rerouting fees assessed by carriers
Shipping services are provided by independent third parties, and transit conditions are outside of our control.
Shipment Documentation
To help protect both buyer and seller, detailed photographs and/or videos of all items are taken prior to shipment, including packaging condition and the condition of the item before carrier pickup.
This documentation is retained to assist in resolving any shipping discrepancies, insurance claims, or transit-related issues quickly and accurately.
Inspection Upon Delivery
Buyers are responsible for inspecting all shipments immediately upon delivery.
If visible damage is present:
→ Note all damage directly with the carrier at delivery
→ Take photographs of the packaging and item immediately
→ Retain all original packaging materials
→ Contact the shipping carrier promptly to initiate a claim if applicable
Failure to document damage at delivery may limit the ability to pursue a carrier claim.
Local Pickup
For customers selecting local pickup:
→ Items must be picked up within the agreed pickup window unless otherwise arranged in writing
→ Once an item leaves our premises, all responsibility transfers to the buyer
Questions Before Purchase
We encourage buyers to ask any questions regarding dimensions, condition, materials, age, finish, or functionality prior to purchasing. We are happy to provide additional photos, measurements, and details whenever possible.
Because apparently society decided buying a 120-year-old gilded mirror online without asking questions was a normal retail experience.
