At Viridian Eclection, we specialize in antique, vintage, oversized, and one-of-a-kind furnishings and decorative objects. Many of our pieces are substantial in size, delicate in nature, or require specialized handling and transportation.

Because apparently moving a 300-pound carved oak cabinet from 1890 across the country is not treated the same way as shipping tube socks from Amazon. Civilization remains fragile.

Shipping Methods

We utilize a variety of shipping providers depending on the size, weight, fragility, and destination of the item, including:

→ Blanket-wrap or specialty antique transport services
→ Independent third-party delivery providers

Shipping methods are selected at our discretion to ensure the safest and most appropriate transport for each piece.

Oversized & Freight Items

Many items sold by Viridian Eclection are oversized, heavy, fragile, or irregularly shaped and may require freight delivery or specialty transportation.

As a result:

→ Certain items are subject to oversized handling fees or freight surcharges
→ Additional shipping charges may apply after purchase depending on destination, access limitations, weight, dimensions, stair carries, remote delivery zones, or white-glove requirements
→ Shipping estimates provided at checkout may not include all specialty freight conditions or carrier-imposed surcharges

If additional shipping costs are required, the buyer will be contacted prior to shipment for approval.

Freight & White-Glove Delivery

For large furniture, mirrors, lighting, artwork, architectural salvage, and oversized antiques:

Processing & Handling Times

→ Certain items require custom crating, palletization, or protective packaging
→ Larger freight shipments may require additional coordination time before dispatch

We take extensive care in packaging and preparing items to help ensure safe transport.

Local Pickup

Local pickup may be available for select items.

→ Pickup appointments must be scheduled in advance
→ Buyers are responsible for transportation and securing items safely after pickup
→ Assistance loading may be limited depending on the item and staffing availability

Shipping Damage & Claims

All items are carefully documented and photographed prior to shipment.

Once an item has been transferred to a carrier or third-party transport provider, Viridian Eclection is not responsible for delays, loss, or damages caused during transit.

If damage occurs during shipment:

→ Inspect the shipment immediately upon delivery
→ Photograph all packaging and damaged areas
→ Retain all original packaging materials
→ Note any visible damage with the carrier before signing delivery paperwork whenever possible

Failure to document shipping damage at delivery may affect the ability to pursue a carrier claim.

Shipping Estimates

Shipping costs shown online are estimates only unless otherwise stated.

Due to fluctuating freight markets, fuel surcharges, dimensional pricing, rural access fees, and specialty handling requirements, final shipping costs may vary for oversized or specialty items.

We reserve the right to invoice additional shipping charges if carrier pricing exceeds the original estimate due to item size, weight, destination constraints, or service requirements.

International Shipping
