Shipping & Freight
Getting It Home
A pair of ironstone plates and a three-hundred-pound Victorian sideboard don't travel the same way. Here is how each one reaches you, and what it costs — visible at checkout, before you pay.
Two ways a piece travels
Anything under seventy pounds ships as an insured parcel. It is packed, labeled, tracked, and on its way within a few days of your order.
Above seventy pounds, a piece moves by freight. It is crated or blanket-wrapped, handed to a carrier who handles furniture rather than boxes, and delivered by appointment instead of left at a door. The carrier contacts you directly to arrange a day.
Rates within the contiguous United States
Rates are flat and calculated on the total weight of your order. What you see at checkout is what you pay — nothing is recalculated afterward, and no surcharge follows a heavy piece home.
| Weight | Service | Rate |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 1 lb | Insured Parcel Delivery | $9 |
| 1 – 5 lb | Insured Parcel Delivery | $14 |
| 5 – 15 lb | Insured Parcel Delivery | $22 |
| 15 – 30 lb | Insured Parcel Delivery | $38 |
| 30 – 70 lb | Crated Delivery | $75 |
| 70 – 150 lb | Freight & White-Glove Delivery | $349 |
| 150 – 300 lb | Freight & White-Glove Delivery | $549 |
| Over 300 lb | Freight & White-Glove Delivery | $749 |
Multiple pieces in one order are rated on their combined weight, which is often cheaper than shipping them separately.
Alaska and Hawaii
Both states are served. Parcel rates are flat; freight is quoted individually, because a single flat rate across that distance would be a fiction for one of us.
| Weight | Service | Rate |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 5 lb | Insured Parcel Delivery | $29 |
| 5 – 30 lb | Insured Parcel Delivery | $65 |
| 30 – 70 lb | Crated Delivery | $145 |
| Over 70 lb | Freight quote required | Quoted |
Above seventy pounds, checkout shows no shipping charge. We price the freight, contact you with the figure, and nothing moves until you agree to it.
What Freight & White-Glove includes
The piece is crated or blanket-wrapped for transit, loaded and unloaded by the carrier, and delivered on a day you agree to in advance rather than whenever a truck happens to pass.
Tell us before it ships if there are stairs, a narrow turn, a service elevator, or a gate code. The carrier confirms the specifics of the delivery when they call to schedule, and knowing the obstacles in advance is the difference between a delivery and a rescheduling.
Collecting in person
Any piece can be collected at the showroom — 400 East Fourth Street, Reno, in the Morris Hotel building. Choose local pickup at checkout and we will arrange a time.
Bring blankets and straps for anything substantial, and a second set of hands for anything above waist height. We will help you load.
Where we ship
All fifty states, Alaska and Hawaii included. We do not currently ship to US territories or internationally. If you have your eye on a particular piece and you are outside that range, write to us — some things can be arranged one at a time.
