The Piece
A collectible set of two vintage Jack Daniel’s Heritage Series metal whiskey tins, originally produced as promotional or retail packaging for Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey. Each tin features the brand’s classic black, white, and gold label styling, with historic imagery and printed interior panels telling stories from the Jack Daniel Distillery’s early history.
This set includes two different Heritage Series designs:
→ “America’s First Registered Distillery”
→ “A Distinct Bottle for a Special Whiskey”
The tins are rectangular, hinged, and made in the U.S.A., with interior silver-tone metal and printed historical panels inside the lids. They are empty and sold as collectible advertising tins only, because tragically, no whiskey survived this journey. Humanity mourns, briefly.
Design & Construction
Each tin is made from lightweight stamped metal with a hinged lid and rounded edges. The exteriors feature glossy black Jack Daniel’s branding with gold borderwork, white lettering, and heritage-themed graphics. The interior lids have printed gold-tone panels that describe chapters in the brand’s history, including Jack Daniel registering the distillery and the origin story of the square bottle.
The interior bases are stamped “Made in USA,” adding a nice American-made detail to the pair. The overall presentation is very much in the style of late 20th to early 21st-century promotional liquor packaging: nostalgic, branded, durable, and designed to be kept after the bottle was removed.
History & Provenance
These tins belong to the Jack Daniel’s Heritage Series, a collectible packaging series celebrating the history of Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7, the Lynchburg distillery, and the brand’s iconic bottle design.
While the graphics reference 1866, that date relates to the registration history of the distillery, not the age of the tins themselves. Based on the web address printed inside, the modern graphics, the construction, and known collector references to the Heritage Series, these are best described with vintage early 2000s dating language, likely circa 2000s.
They are not antique 19th-century advertising pieces, despite the heritage styling doing its very best impression of “found in an old Tennessee general store.” Still, they have strong display value for collectors of whiskey memorabilia, bar decor, advertising tins, and Americana.
Why This Belongs in Your Home
This pair is ideal for styling a bar, liquor cabinet, game room, office shelf, garage lounge, cabin, or collected Americana display. The black-and-gold Jack Daniel’s graphics have a classic look that works well with leather, dark wood, brass, vintage signs, barware, and industrial shelving.
They can be displayed closed for the exterior artwork or opened to show the historical printed panels inside. They also work as small storage tins for bar tools, bottle openers, coasters, matches, receipts, keys, or whatever tiny human clutter has once again declared war on a flat surface.

If damage occurs in transit, we will provide full documentation to support your carrier claim.
