Product Overview
The Piece
A handcrafted salvaged wood bud vase from Montana.
Natural branch-form vessel with retained bark texture, polished wood grain, embedded nail detail, and removable glass insert.
Marked “Made in Montana USA” on the underside with handwritten notation.
This Montana-made bud vase is carved from salvaged natural wood, preserving the contrast between polished amber-brown grain and weathered gray bark texture. The upper portion has been shaped and finished to reveal the wood’s warm figuring, while the lower body keeps the rugged outer surface, natural checking, voids, and vertical fissures that give the piece its sculptural character.
A small embedded nail or wire detail remains visible along the side, adding to the object’s salvaged, rustic material story. The top is fitted with a glass insert, allowing the vase to hold a single stem, dried botanicals, or a small floral cutting while protecting the wood interior.

Condition + Updates
Good vintage condition with natural material variation throughout. The piece retains organic cracks, checks, bark texture, voids, knots, and an embedded nail detail inherent to the salvaged wood construction. The polished upper wood shows light surface wear, small scratches, and finish variation. The weathered bark section has natural roughness and age-darkened texture. The glass insert is present, and felt pads remain on the underside.
Why This Belongs in Your Home
This piece brings a strong natural material story into a room, pairing polished wood grain with raw bark texture and visible salvaged detail. It has the kind of presence that works well in lodge, Western, rustic, organic modern, cabin, studio craft, or collected interiors without needing to cosplay as mass-produced “farmhouse” decor. Society has suffered enough.
Use it on a console, bookshelf, mantel, entry table, bedside table, or dining vignette with a single stem, dried branch, wildflower, or simply as a standalone wood sculpture. The embedded nail detail gives the piece a more grounded, lived-in character, while the glass insert keeps it functional as a small vase.
