A charming boxed set of Pleasantime Deluxe Poker Chips, produced in 1963 by Pacific Game Co., Inc. of North Hollywood, California. The set includes 100 plastic poker chips in classic red, white, and blue, housed in its original green-and-gold cardboard box with wonderfully graphic mid-century packaging.
The box features bold yellow typography, decorative gold borderwork, and printed chip illustrations across the lid. Its visible wear, softened corners, and surface scuffing give it the kind of honest age that makes vintage game pieces feel collected rather than staged by a soulless algorithm in a beige room.
Design & Construction
This set reflects the casual home-entertainment culture of the early 1960s, when poker chips, card tables, bridge sets, ashtrays, and bar carts all lived in the same domestic universe. The chips are molded plastic with a ribbed edge detail and were advertised as square edge, high stacking, interlocking, unbreakable plastic.
