Alamo Pottery White Art Deco Creamer, c. 1940s

The Design

A small American pottery creamer with a sharply paneled Art Deco form, creamy white glaze, and compact squared body. The handle and spout are cleanly integrated into the geometric shape, giving the piece a quiet architectural quality despite its modest scale.

The glaze has developed pronounced allover crazing, creating a crackled surface pattern that gives the creamer depth, age, and texture. It reads less like ordinary tableware and more like a small sculptural utility object, because apparently even creamers once had better proportions than most modern decor.

Condition & Provenance

Marked USA on the underside with a raised mark resembling an A or flag-like Alamo form, consistent with Alamo Pottery. Likely produced in the 1940s, with Art Deco and early mid-century influence.

The piece shows heavy crazing throughout, rim and spout wear, age-related staining, and surface marks consistent with age and use. Due to the crazing and visible wear, this piece is recommended for decorative use only.
