Warwick China Serving Platters
Wheeling, West Virginia
Early 20th Century
A matched pair of oval serving platters produced by the Warwick China Company, featuring a delicate pink floral motif framed by a geometric gilt border.
Subtle, structured, and quietly American.
Primary Description
These oval serving platters are marked with the red Warwick backstamp featuring a knight’s helmet crest—used by the Warwick China Company in the late 1800s through early 1900s.
The design blends restrained floral detailing with a repeating geometric border, edged in fine gold linework. The silhouette has a gentle scalloped contour, giving the form softness without excess ornamentation.
The porcelain body is semi-vitreous china—durable, slightly heavier than fine bone china, and typical of American tableware production during the period.
This was made for use. Not for cabinets.
