This intricately carved miniature pedestal table reflects the long tradition of decorative wood carving produced for the global export market during the mid-20th century. Small in scale yet rich in detail, the table features a circular carved top supported by a folding tripod base.
The tabletop is decorated with a finely carved floral pattern encircling a central star-shaped inlay made from a lighter contrasting material. The carving has a soft relief depth that gives the surface a subtle dimensional quality while preserving the warmth of the natural wood grain.
The base is formed from three pierced carved panels joined by small hinges, allowing the table to fold flat when not in use. When opened, the panels create a stable tripod structure that supports the circular top while maintaining an elegant and lightweight appearance.
