The commanding headboard is crowned by an elaborate architectural crest featuring pierced geometric fretwork, circular medallions, scrolling carved forms, and a dimensional floral centerpiece.

The footboard mirrors the headboard with a sweeping arched profile, central turned medallion, and applied geometric ornament, creating a unified and highly decorative composition. The substantial scale, layered carving, and contrast between straight-grained walnut and more dramatically figured sections give the bed a strong sculptural presence.

The Design
