The Piece
This vintage porcelain dessert plate was produced by Knowles China Company, a major American ceramics manufacturer known for durable, everyday tableware designed for mid-century homes. Dating to the 1950s, the plate reflects the era’s emphasis on practicality paired with gentle decorative charm.
The design features a warm ivory porcelain body accented by a delicate pink rose motif with green foliage, applied sparingly to preserve a sense of openness and balance. The rim is clean and undecorated, allowing the floral elements to feel intentional rather than ornamental.
