Decorative Brutalism
Brutalism in the decorative arts: torch cut and cast metal left deliberately rough, surfaces that record how they were made instead of concealing it, and a preference for mass, texture and shadow over polish. Mostly unsigned work from the nineteen sixties and seventies, when the conviction moved out of architecture and onto the tabletop.
