The Piece

This antique porcelain table lamp base is modeled in the form of a classic Victorian coffee pot, complete with a sculptural handle and spout that give the piece its unmistakable silhouette. Finished in a soft ivory glaze, the surface is decorated with hand-applied floral sprays in pinks and greens, accented by subtle gilt highlights along the rim and handle.

The porcelain body rests on an ornate pierced brass plinth, richly detailed with repeating scrollwork and aged to a warm, time-softened patina. Above, the original brass burner-style collar with functional key remains in place, adding both visual interest and a nod to its oil-lamp lineage.

This is a lamp base with presence, history, and personality—equal parts decorative object and functional lighting.
