Product Overview
The Piece
An authentic American-made Nichols & Stone chair, bearing the original NS shield maker’s mark, crafted in Gardner, Massachusetts — the historic chair-making capital of the United States.
This solid wood chair reflects the practical elegance of late 19th to early 20th century American Provincial design, where form followed function and furniture was built for decades of daily use. The gently steam-bent crest rail, turned spindle back, and saddle-shaped solid wood seat demonstrate the restrained craftsmanship Nichols & Stone was known for, favoring durability and proportion over ornament.
Recently refinished to revive and highlight the natural wood grain, the chair retains its historical character while presenting beautifully for contemporary interiors.
