Product Overview
The Piece
This vintage English transferware mug features a romantic scenic illustration of Raglan Castle, rendered in deep red transfer print against a white ceramic ground. Produced in England in the mid-20th century, it reflects the postwar revival of historic imagery for domestic and souvenir wares.
While the date “1792” references the historic site depicted, the mug itself was made decades later as part of England’s heritage tourism tradition.
