The Piece
Mirena lived in two worlds from childhood — one foot in the material, the other somewhere else. She described people she had never met and dreamed places that later appeared in the news. Her family called it a blessing best kept inside.
The painting is about a gift held quiet for too long. Allibe splits the canvas tonally rather than compositionally: the same figure occupies both registers, and neither resolves fully into the other. It is the most overtly mystical subject in the collection and the one where her refusal to finish a face does the most narrative work. Eighteen by twenty-four inches.
History & Provenance
Kat Allibe is a French-born contemporary painter working in Reno, Nevada, and the originator of Emotional Impressionism. She painted privately for over thirty years — more than 150 works, almost none of them sold — before entering formal study at the Milan Art Institute in 2025.
Viridian Eclection is her private dealer. This painting comes directly from the studio, with a certificate of authenticity issued and signed by the artist.
