Kat Allibe
The Original Paintings of Kat Allibe
Offered exclusively through Viridian Eclection, private dealer to the artist
Kat Allibe is a French-born contemporary figurative painter working in Reno, Nevada, and the originator of Emotional Impressionism — a method built on deliberate incompletion. The face is never fully resolved. The background is emotional rather than architectural. A single unexpected colour carries each composition, and a third of the canvas is left to breathe. In her own words: “My paintings are not portraits. They are mirrors.”
She painted privately for more than thirty years while running an international marketing career, producing over 150 works that never entered the market. Viridian Eclection became her dealer after buying one of her earliest canvases — painted in France in 1989 — off a church wall in Reno, and tracing it back to the artist living in the same city.
Every original is one of one, signed, and issued with a certificate of authenticity by the artist. Provenance runs artist to dealer to collector, with no intermediate hands. Read the full artist record.
