A woman walks through water. Barefoot, deliberate, unafraid. Behind her the surface holds fragments of what she was — blurred reflections distorted by time but never erased.
The water is where the painting is won. Allibe works the reflected passages as half-dissolved colour, so the past is legible without being described, and the ripples read as momentum rather than disturbance. The figure does not run and does not look back; Allibe gives her the least resolved face in the group and lets the posture carry everything. Thirty by forty inches.
History & Provenance
Kat Allibe is a French-born contemporary painter working in Reno, Nevada, and the originator of Emotional Impressionism. She painted privately for over thirty years — more than 150 works, almost none of them sold — before entering formal study at the Milan Art Institute in 2025.
Viridian Eclection is her private dealer. This painting comes directly from the studio, with a certificate of authenticity issued and signed by the artist.
