The Piece
Isadora Lianne grew up in a coastal town and was drawn from childhood to the colours other people overlook — the iridescence inside a shadow, the warmth hidden in a cold tone, the glow that appears when light bends at the right angle.
That is a description of Allibe's own eye, and this painting is where she demonstrates it. The interest is not in the figure or the orchid beside her but in the transitions: cool passages carrying hidden warmth, shadows that are not grey. Acrylic rather than oil, so the edges are crisper and the colour sits flatter and truer. A twenty-four inch square.
History & Provenance
Kat Allibe is a French-born contemporary painter working in Reno, Nevada, and the originator of Emotional Impressionism. She painted privately for over thirty years — more than 150 works, almost none of them sold — before entering formal study at the Milan Art Institute in 2025.
Viridian Eclection is her private dealer. This painting comes directly from the studio, with a certificate of authenticity issued and signed by the artist.
