The only animal subject in the collection, and the widest canvas — thirty by forty-eight inches, a true landscape format. Aurora was the smallest in her herd and learned to survive by watching, listening, and outrunning fear. Allibe paints colour moving across the coat the way weather moves across open country.
The method holds even without a human face to withhold. Form dissolves at the edges, the ground is emotional rather than topographic, and one unexpected note carries against the warm field. The result reads as a portrait rather than wildlife art — which is the distinction that matters when a buyer is deciding between this and something that belongs in a lodge.
History & Provenance
Kat Allibe is a French-born contemporary painter working in Reno, Nevada, and the originator of Emotional Impressionism. She painted privately for over thirty years — more than 150 works, almost none of them sold — before entering formal study at the Milan Art Institute in 2025.
Viridian Eclection is her private dealer. This painting comes directly from the studio, with a certificate of authenticity issued and signed by the artist.
