In a New York flat, Isolde leans into the glow of the city. She has spent years on the careful path — safe choices, predictable outcomes — and something is now pressing at the door asking her to risk it.
Allibe paints the city as light rather than architecture: no buildings, no skyline, just the warm field a window throws into a room at night. The figure leans toward it, and the direction of the lean is the entire narrative. Twenty-four inch square, and the most economical composition in the collection — one gesture, one light source, nothing else.
History & Provenance
Kat Allibe is a French-born contemporary painter working in Reno, Nevada, and the originator of Emotional Impressionism. She painted privately for over thirty years — more than 150 works, almost none of them sold — before entering formal study at the Milan Art Institute in 2025.
Viridian Eclection is her private dealer. This painting comes directly from the studio, with a certificate of authenticity issued and signed by the artist.
