The Piece
Sometimes the simplest forms endure the longest. This matching set of three German porcelain saucers by Leuchtenburg pairs understated elegance with the soft romantic palette popular during the first half of the twentieth century. Each saucer features a hand-applied blush pink ombré border that fades gently into a luminous white center, creating a refined presentation without relying on elaborate decoration.
Whether displayed beneath antique teacups, incorporated into a vintage tea service, or styled as small catchall dishes for jewelry or candles, these saucers bring quiet sophistication to a collection.
History
Leuchtenburg was one of the respected porcelain manufacturers of Germany’s Thuringian region, an area internationally recognized for producing fine porcelain since the eighteenth century. During the interwar years, manufacturers increasingly embraced restrained color gradients and minimalist decoration that complemented both traditional and emerging Art Deco interiors.
The soft pink fade seen here became a popular decorative treatment, allowing pieces to coordinate across multiple tea patterns while maintaining an elegant, contemporary appearance.

Why It Belongs In Your Home
Vintage porcelain does not always need elaborate decoration to make an impression. These saucers embody the restrained elegance that defined European entertaining during the early twentieth century. Their gentle color gradient layers beautifully with white ironstone, floral china, silver, crystal, or modern minimalist interiors, making them equally suited for collectors and designers.

All antique and vintage items are sold as described and all sales are final. Each listing includes detailed condition notes and photographs so you can make a fully informed decision. We encourage buyers to ask questions — about condition, dimensions, finish, provenance — before purchasing.
Antiques are irreplaceable and one-of-a-kind. Carrier handling is outside our control once a piece has left our facility, and major carriers including FedEx do not insure antiques. We do everything within our power to ensure safe transit, but cannot accept liability for carrier damage. If damage occurs in transit, we will provide full documentation to support your carrier claim.
