The Piece
A sweet set of vintage circa 1980s cottage rose multi-photo frames, featuring cream glazed frames with soft pink floral rose accents and a naturally aged crackle finish throughout. The set includes one larger multi-opening frame and one smaller coordinating frame, both designed for tabletop display with black easel backs.
The look is romantic, nostalgic, and deeply 1980s in the best possible way: cream ceramic, pink roses, soft curves, and just enough Victorian revival energy to make a guest bedroom feel like someone’s grandmother had excellent stationery.
Design & Construction
Each frame has a glossy cream ceramic or ceramic-style molded body with rounded edges and recessed photo openings. The larger frame includes multiple mixed openings in oval, square, and rectangular shapes, while the smaller frame includes one large oval opening with two smaller rectangular openings below.
Both frames are decorated with delicate pink rose floral decals at the corners. The surface shows visible crazing and crackle throughout, giving the pieces an aged, timeworn appearance. This crackling may be part of the original decorative finish or age-related glaze crazing, but either way it adds to the cottage character.
The backs are finished in black with easel stands for tabletop display. These are best suited for vanity styling, nursery decor, powder room shelves, bedroom dressers, or a layered gallery-style vignette.
History & Provenance
These frames fit beautifully into the 1980s cottage revival and romantic Victorian-inspired home decor movement, when cream ceramics, floral decals, crackle finishes, and soft feminine accents were widely used in giftware, vanity decor, and family photo displays.
The style feels very aligned with the era’s love of rose motifs, sentimental family display pieces, and decorative tabletop frames. They are not antique, but they are very much vintage decorative home goods with strong nostalgic appeal.
Why This Belongs in Your Home
This pair is ideal for adding a soft, collected layer to a bedroom, vanity, nursery, dressing area, or cottage-inspired shelf. Styled with antique portraits, pressed flowers, perfume bottles, lace, or old books, they create a charming romantic vignette without needing to scream “theme room,” which is a mercy we should all be grateful for.
The pair works especially well together because the shapes, glaze, floral details, and scale feel coordinated. They can be used for family photos, vintage portraits, art clippings, dried botanicals, or left empty as decorative objects in a feminine cottage display.

Condition Notes
Good vintage condition overall. Both frames show visible crackle/crazing throughout the cream glazed surface, light surface wear, age-related discoloration, and wear to the floral decals. The backs show scuffing, peeling, and handling wear consistent with age. Easel backs are present. Photo openings/glass or inserts may show dust, haze, or minor marks. No major front-facing breaks are visible in the provided photos, but minor edge wear should be expected.
