The Piece
A Rediform Service Call business form book, spiral bound, holding pre printed and sequentially numbered service call forms.
Each form carries fields for name, address, service request, time, assignment and completion. The printing is blue with red numbering, a combination that gives the page both structure and clarity.
The soft cover is pale blue with simple printed Rediform labeling. The book is partly unused, with a number of intact forms remaining.
History & Provenance
Rediform was a well known manufacturer of business forms, in wide use across offices, repair services and field operations, which makes this an authentic example of period office supply rather than a novelty.
The book documents how small businesses and service professionals managed daily operations before digital systems, with the job recorded on a numbered carbon form as it happened.
The period is given as the 1960s into the 1970s, arrived at from the brand, the format and the print design rather than from a printed date.

Why It Belongs in Your Home
The layout is the appeal. Blue rules against red numerals, set in a plain grid, read as graphic design now in a way they never did on a service counter.
It suits a desk, a studio, a shelf of paper ephemera, or a set dressing job where a period document has to look right at close range. Enough forms remain that it can still be written in.
Objects like this sit between utility and ephemera. They were made to be used up and thrown away, and a surviving book is an artifact of analog business systems and mid century administrative design.

Antiques are irreplaceable and one-of-a-kind. Carrier handling is outside our control once a piece has left our facility, and major carriers including FedEx do not insure antiques. If damage occurs in transit, we will provide full documentation to support your carrier claim.
